A free public forum sponsored by the New Orleans Safe and Free Coalition (An ACLU-sposored coalition. NOLAPS is a part of this coalition). UNO Downtown Theatre - 619 Carondelet street. NOLAPS had a brief speaker at this event. Other coalition members include ADC, Secular Humanists Association, Critical Resistance, and others.

MARCH 26 THROUGH APRIL4: the NEW ORLEANS HUMAN RIGHTS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL at ZEITGEIST MULTI-DISCIPLINARY ARTS CENTER, Loyola University, and UNO.

This festival featured World premieres, US Premieres, Southern regional premiers, and New Orleans premiers of films such as: Rana's Wedding, Fourth World War, Battle of Algiers, Meen erhabe, Planet of the Arabs, Until When…, Lost Boys of Sudan, Killing Zone, Arabs a go-go, Truth and lies in the war on terror, and Frontiers of Dreams and fears. Hundreds of people attended the festival, and we featured speakers from Louisiana March to Save Women's Lives, Families and Friends of Louisiana's Incarcerated Children, as well as ACLU of Louisiana director Joe Cook, former political prisoner king Wilkerson, and FOURTH WORLD WAR director Rick Rowley.
